Fred Durst has signed on to direct "Pawn Shop Chronicles" , which is based on a script by newcomer Adam Minarovich . It will be a film action and black humor, similar to "Pulp Fiction."
Los Angeles Times reports the story revolves around a lost wedding ring leading to a wild goose chase involving meth addicts, skinheads and an Elvis impersonator. Durst was in talks with producer Steven Schneider to lead "Paranormal Activity 2" , but the two decided to collaborate rather "Pawn Shop Chronicles." The film is scheduled to enter production next year.
